Excited to be part of the Folkestone Ethno Jazz Festival on Thursday 27th October where Abanico Blue will be performing many works from their recent studio recording. A celebration of musical ethnicity, exquisite world artists share sounds from Western to Southern Afro, Latin, British, European and American Jazz.Studio Recording
The long awaited recording sessions finally arrived, along with the hottest temperatures that the country has seen! The band worked through their sessions to produce what will be an exciting album’s worth of material. Exciting news! Abanico Blue are heading into the rehearsal studio to start work on their latest recording project, creating originals and arranging jazz standards for a new album’s worth of material. Regular updates and a behind-the-scenes viewing of rehearsals will be posted to the group’s social media pages.Autumn 2021
As with many creatives throughout the Covid lockdown period, Abanico Blue continued arranging, composing and recording their music online. A sample of the tracks can be heard and seen on the media pages of this site.
